Outlancer, to life, again. 25 May 2009 06:37:03 pm |

Just a note to those very very few who probably dont even use the internet, let alone visit here, as I'm pretty much the only one that posts here, maybe for my own amusement, who knows, but I am in the process of completely redesigning Outlancer.
When I discovered the simplicity in the game Call of Cthulhu pen and paper game I suddenly felt bored with games like dungeons and dragons and necromunda. It was the card games that I enjoyed most, and bored games that had rpg elements to it. Things like Hero quest and the Warhammer 40k card game were the things I liked the most.
So, I took the manuals and guides that I spent hours over for Outlancer and scrapped most of it. This is the third time I've redesigned it. The second time I was converting it into an pen and paper card hybrid, to help with its simplicity. Now, I've scrapped that and just made it into a board/card game. With the only pen and paper you need is to basically just record how many credits you have. It's not even really a board game. It's a card game with a larger playing area. Before I can really test it though I need full sets of dice. |
